We start our levada walking tour on the hidden levadas and trails of Santo da Serra towards Portela. Passing by the bee houses we make sure to stop on all occasions to see the breathtaking views. On days with nice weather you can see Ponta de São Lourenço, Desertas, and Porto Santo Islands. Enjoy the sounds of nature, your nordic walking in the evergreen forest and the views to the Eagle’s Rock. You will come across endemic laurel trees, pines and eucalyptus, orchids and hydrangeas, and little creeks.
